|
The Costa de la Luz (Coast of light) is the western part of the Andalucía coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighbouring Costa del Sol.
The beaches here stretch further and are backed by san dunes and pine trees. The temperatures are milder with strong Atlantic winds, which are great for surfers.

Cadiz -
The historic walled city of Cadiz is a beautiful historic walled city built in the bay of Cadiz.
Cadiz stands on a peninsula jutting out into a bay, and is almost entirely surrounded by water. Part of the city's 18th century walls still stand. The Lanward Gate is one. There are some places worth visiting, the city's cathedrals and churches of Santa Cruz and San Felipe Neri churches of Santa Cruz and San Felipe Neri. Other places of interest are La Santa Cueva, which houses several paintings by Goya, and stately mansions such as the Casa del Almirante and Casa de las Cadenas.
The old city looks quite Moorish . It has narrow cobbled streets opening onto small squares. It just takes an hour to walk around the headlands you can visit the entire old town and walk through some scenic parks with fantastic views of the bay.
